I like to keep in regular contact with my clients to stay involved in their NDIS plan and be able to update stakeholders, so we can make any changes quickly, as requested.

My inspiration for working in the disability sector comes from a personal place. After experiencing my own personal trauma as a young adult, I wanted to help others who had faced similar circumstances. I believe there’s a level of understanding that only lived experiences can bring and it helps me connect with people on a genuine level and support them with empathy and care.

One of the most rewarding moments in my career, while working previously as a support coordinator, was seeing a client who spent much of their life in and out of jail, finally break that cycle and utilise their NDIS funding and access the right supports, which completely changed their life for the better. Watching them gain employment, find stable housing and rebuild family relationships reminded me why I do, what I do. Being part of something so life changing is truly special.

I was drawn to work with JP Trusted Advisor because of the team’s clear focus on quality support coordination. I love that I can dedicate my time to working closely with participants and their families and carers, without the distractions of juggling multiple roles. Being a JP Trusted Advisor Support Coordinator allows me to focus on what matters most, the people we support.

Those who know me well, will tell you I am a big talker and even bigger optimist and I am happiest when I know I have made someone’s day a little better, a little brighter.

Outside of work, you will often find me spending time with family and friends or coaching my local under 8s girls and boys basketball teams. I also enjoy watching and listening to crime and justice documentaries, programs and podcasts.
